On August 2, 2006, the first American Navy SEAL was killed in action in Iraq.  His name was Marc Lee, a name that means "Mighty Warrior." He lived up to his name that day by standing out in the direct line of fire three different times to defend his fellow SEALs.  Marc Lee was part of a dedicated Naval Special Warfare team fighting the insurgency in Iraq, supporting the U.S. in its efforts to bring peace and stability to that country.  His valorous conduct, exemplary leadership, and extraordinary self-sacrifice for his fellow service members have earned him the highest respect and gratitude of his fellow SEALs, the Navy, and our nation.

"Glory is something that some men chase and others find themselves stumbling upon, not expecting it to find them.  Either way it is a noble gesture that one finds bestowed upon them."
